✨when you arrive at the shop✨
Here are a few things to expect when you arrive at the shop for your appointment.
- ✨Please have legal photo ID ready.
- ✨Fill out the Tattoo Release form. Read all the info and sign at the bottom.
- ✨There may be loud music and talking. If you have sound sensitivity, please feel free to bring headphones/earbuds.
- ✨There may be other people in the shop. We are independent artists with no set schedules who come and go as we please! We do have an open floor plan with no individual rooms, but if you need more privacy, I have a privacy screen. Your safety and comfort are always my top priority to me.
- ✨If you are using a numbing cream prior to your tattoo procedure, please let me know when you arrive and what time you applied it. *For instructions on applying a numbing cream, please see the page on Numbing Agents.
There are a few things you should expect from me as we get set up for your tattoo.
- ✨I'll more than likely be late. lol Sorry, it's inevitable. I will try to reach out to let you know!
- ✨I'll show you the drawing I have prepared, unless we are continuing a current project. We can make some quick, small changes if necessary, get your approval, and make a stencil. If significant changes are needed, then we may have to reschedule. Any major changes to the design need to be communicated to me no less than 72hrs before your appointment day. Please text or email with the subject line URGENT72 to avoid a reschedule that will require a new deposit.
- ✨Setup usually takes up to 30 min or more, depending on how I need you to be positioned, what body part we are tattooing, how many colors I need, etc. There is seating in the front of the shop, and I also have a chair for you or your companion in my workspace with an area to set your bag, drink, etc.
- ✨I will wash my hands frequently! You should always expect and ask for your tattoo artist to wash their hands after they touch ANYTHING and before they put on gloves! I mean, it's your health and safety in our hands, they should be cleaned!!
- ✨I will disinfect surfaces and set up all my barriers and wraps in front of you so you can see how everything is clean and new for your setup - including the tattoo bed, arm rests, rolling tray, bottles, lights, cellphone, and pillows.
- ✨I will disinfect, dry, and wrap my tattoo machine with fresh, new barriers.
- ✨I will open new needle cartridges in front of you.
- ✨Using a new tongue depressor, I will use fresh glide product for your setup.
- ✨I will use new ink caps and pour fresh ink for each tattoo procedure. I DO NOT REUSE UNUSED INK. Frankly, if someone is doing that, STRAIGHT TO JAIL.
- ✨I will at all times wear new gloves, changing frequently as necessary, and washing my hands. I'm not scared to change gloves! I'll change gloves for fun if I wanna!
👀 Please keep me informed of any skin sensitivities or allergies, regarding botanicals, fruits/veg, florals, fragrances, chemicals, or medications. Some of my glide and soap products contain natural ingredients and some common allergens. I have hypoallergenic products for those that need them!
