✨The Day of Your Tattoo Appointment✨
Ok, I hope you’re feeling excited and prepared for today! Do the butterflies in your stomach have bubble guts? Don’t freak out. I get nervous on tattoo day, too.
Here are some things to remember that could help you feel more comfortable during your tattoo.
- ✨Make sure you shower and clean the area being tattooed today. Do not apply moisturizer on this day! I'm just gonna clean it off anyway.
- ✨If you don’t normally shave, don’t start now. No need for razor bumps where I’m supposed to tattoo. If you feel the need to ‘scape the yard, clippers to the lawn are perfectly fine and appreciated. But I’m prepared to shave you!
- ✨Deodorant is sexy! Clouds of perfume and cologne are not. Please, just don’t. I prefer breathing.
- ✨Got your water, snacks, and coffee? Did you eat a full meal before your appointment today? Cuz you need to! Protein and some sugars to keep your brain functioning, and water to stay hydrated. An empty stomach and low blood sugar are THE reasons why people pass out! I do keep bottled water and lollipops available at all times!
- ✨Wear appropriate, comfortable, clean clothes. They should easily expose the area to be tattooed without being tight.
- Torso tattoo placements will do best when wearing a button-up shirt that can be worn backwards for back tattoos.
- Loose-fitting shorts that can be tucked out of the way for stomach, thigh, and leg tattoos.
- Tank tops with straps that can be tucked under the armpit to expose the upper arm, shoulders, collar, and neck.
- String bikini/triangle tied top for underboob, sternum, and rib tattoos. I can also provide pasties for nips and a privacy screen.
- String bikini bottoms and slit-sided skirts for hip, stomach, and upper leg tattoos.
- Loose shirt sleeves that can be pulled up or tucked out of the way for arm tattoos.
- Sandals or flip flops for foot and ankle tattoos.
- ✨Just ask me if you’re not sure. 👀 Don’t wear anything you’re not ok with getting ink on. Tattoo ink is damn-near impossible to get out of clothes. Ask me how I know that!
- ✨If you are getting anywhere near your shoulders, neck, or chest tattooed and have long hair or a long beard, bring some hair ties or a clip. Or I’ll slick your hair up with A&D, I don’t care ;)
- ✨Bring something to entertain or distract yourself with. I can be chatty sometimes, but if I get quiet, it’s because I’m concentrating on the task at hand, i.e., your permanent tattoo. Phone, headphones, tablet, book, etc.
- ✨Keep in mind you MUST BE STILL for your tattoo. If you are typing, talking, or moving your body around, and that makes it hard for me to do a clean tattoo, it’s gotta stop. I have ADHD, too. Trust me, I get it. I'll totally let you know if you're moving too much.
- ✨Bring a jacket, extra socks, or a blanket if you think you will get cold. We do keep the shop at a low temperature to reduce bacterial and spore growth. Most everyone gets chilly when sitting for longer sessions, so be prepared.
- ✨Bring a pillow if you want to get comfy!
✨Please drive safely to the shop!
✨Don’t stress! This is a fun day!
✨Give yourself plenty of time to drive to the shop. Right on time is ok, 10min late is perfect! No, really! You do not need to worry if you are a little late for your appointment. You’re my kind of people. Chances are, I’m gonna be late, too! I know shit happens. I know how executive dysfunction affects punctuality. lol It’s a personality flaw I’ve embraced! Just give me a heads up, and I’ll do the same :D
If you’re always on time for everything, I apologize in advance for the frustration I’m about to cause you. lol It will continue indefinitely. You’ve been warned.

If you wake up sick in any way on the day of your appointment, PLEASE STAY HOME!
You don’t want me tattooing you while I’m sick. I appreciate you not making me tattoo you while you’re sick. If you get me sick, I cannot tattoo anyone else, and that’s bad! If you show up to your appointment and I notice you're sick, then your booking fee is automatically forfeited, your appointment that day is canceled, and you will need to reschedule with a new booking fee. Your immune system needs to concentrate on healing your body, don’t try to tough it out and end up even sicker with a crappy healing tattoo. And it's not fair to anyone else in the shop to be exposed to potential illness. We have kids and spouses at home, too! Your booking fee is still valid if you wake up sick that day. Please text or email with the subject line URGENT24. I get it, life happens. And I don’t want to get sick! As one of millions of immunocompromised Americans, I do not want you to bring some shit into the shop! The booking fee is still good for up to 1 year from that appointment date. Please see The Booking Process and Cancellation/Rescheduling Policies for more info about booking fees.
