✨numbing cream✨
✨topical numbing agents ✨

🛑🛑🛑ANY USE OF TOPICAL LIDOCANE/EPINEPHRINE NUMBING CREAMS IS THE CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITY AND MUST BE DISCLOSED PRIOR TO THE TATTOO PROCEDURE🛑🛑🛑

  • ✨I have experience with different numbing products over several years, and I’ve seen lots of different ways it can affect the tattooing and healing process. Everyone reacts individually, and sometimes we will never know how or if it will work for you until you use it.
  • ✨These products usually have a combination of lidocaine (a numbing agent) and epinephrine (a vasoconstrictor in small concentrations). Both chemicals can affect heart rate, blood thinning, skin texture, and lymphatic drainage in the body.
  • ✨I have no issue with using them if you like or require them, but I do have an issue with cheap knockoffs from Temu or Shein. Get the legit product; don't be cheap with your skin.
  • ✨Most of the creams on the market are not produced in the U.S., and the actual ingredients used in them are not always listed on the packaging or websites. So the use of any product without an ingredient list is at your own risk.
  • ✨I do not provide numbing creams that are applied before the tattoo procedure, but I can tell you what brands I have experience with, and where to get the legit product. Some of these products include Mithra cream, DrNumb cream, Tattoo Numbing Cream, and Ebanel Numb520 gel.
  • ✨I do have Bactine topical spray to use at any point in the tattoo process.
  • ✨I also have a topical numbing spray produced by Carolina Chemicals. The Carolina Chemicals spray works on the open tattooed skin, so it is very effective during the tattoo process. *Please be aware that it does contain Epinephrine, which can affect heart rate and circulation as a vasoconstrictor in small doses. I do not use this product in excess, as it CAN cause disruption of the skin texture for certain people, as well as cause heart rate discomfort or blood thinning for anyone with a heart condition, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or lymphedema. Please consult a physician if desired.

✨how to apply numbing cream before your tattoo appointment ✨

To get the best use of your chosen topical numbing agent, application is important.

  • ✨Apply the product 1 hour prior to your appointment time.
  • ✨Clean and exfoliate the area to be tattooed.
  • ✨Shaving is not necessary unless you need to use clippers.
  • ✨Use a paper towel and rubbing alcohol to scrub the skin clean of oils and skin cells.
  • ✨Use a minimum of 10grams of product for up to 10x10"of skin surface.
  • ✨Spread a thick layer onto the skin; there's no need to rub it in.
  • ✨The individual 10g tubes are single-use only. Any product in a resealable jar can be used multiple times.
  • ✨Completely cover the applied product with plastic cling film in as many layers as necessary to prevent it from leaking or being exposed to air, and to keep it securely in place.
  • ✨Keep the wrapping covered with loose clothing, if possible. Warmth and body heat help the skin to absorb the product. 🛑DO NOT APPLY HEAT🛑
  • ✨Keep it wrapped up and let me know you have applied it when you arrive at your appointment. I will tell you to keep it wrapped and to let me remove it when I'm ready so it doesn't start to oxidize and break down too fast.

🛑👀☠️🛑Please be aware of any excessively painful burning sensations where any product is applied. This could be a chemical or allergic reaction. Immediately wash off all products with mild soap and water and discontinue use.
